Profile: Amstar’s preferred asset quality is a “B” asset in an “A” location, where the ability to add value is clear. The ideal property will be in need of repositioning in infill locations in markets with high barriers to entry.
Hold Periods: 3 to 10 years.
Leverage: 50% to 70%
Deal Size: $40 million to $200 million total capitalization. Ideal equity placement per deal is $25 million.
Structure:Joint ventures with highly-qualified management companies.
