Profile: Amstar’s preferred acquisition is a “B” asset in an “A” location, where the ability to add value is clear. The ideal property will be in need of repositioning and/or leasing in infill locations in markets with high barriers to entry. Development projects will be grocery-anchored in infill locations in markets with high barriers to entry.
Hold Periods: 3 to 10 years.
Leverage: 60% to 80%
Deal Size: $40 million to $200 million total capitalization. Ideal equity placement per deal is $25 million.
Structure: Joint ventures with highly-qualified local real estate operators.
